Bottle caps in the interior. DIY cork crafts

With the help of wine corks, a sharp penknife and a marker, you can make "branded" stamps. To do this, you must first draw the desired figure and then cut it on the cork. Such prints can be used on postcards, in letters, or simply for playing with children.

Volumetric letters and pictures

Do you want to confess your love in an original way or just surprise your loved ones? Then stock up on wine corks. After all, you can make a beautiful three-dimensional picture from them (for example, in the form of a heart), as well as letters for composing various phrases (for example, I love you). And they, in turn, can be used to decorate the interior and photo shoots. Detailed tutorials on how to make them can be found at the links below.

If the handle of a cabinet or chest of drawers is broken, do not rush to knock on the doorsteps of furniture stores in search of a replacement. You can go the other way and make unusual handles from wine corks. To do this, they need to be sharpened a little, and then attached with screws to the door or drawer. For some, this will become a temporary measure, and for someone - an original detail in the interior.

An old fan grill, a bunch of wine corks, twine... At first glance, this is unnecessary trash, which should be in a landfill. But in capable hands, this garbage turns into a designer chandelier. You need to attach a cartridge to the grill from the fan, and tie plugs to the twine at different levels. Detailed instructions at the link below.

These original frames for pictures and photographs are obtained from wine corks. At the same time, you can safely experiment: glue the corks along, across or in a herringbone pattern, use them as a whole or cut them into pieces. It all depends on the interior where these unusual frames will hang. By the way, you should not limit yourself to photographs and paintings only - corks can border a mirror, a chalkboard, and much more.

cat toy

If you tie a case on a wine cork, you will get an unusual toy for your pet. You can drive it around the apartment, sharpen your claws about it, and gnaw it. In a word, wine corks can save your shoes and furniture, so take yarn, felt and make a toy for your cat as soon as possible.

Wine corks can make elegant holders. There are two options here: you can screw a wire into the cork and insert photos, notes and other little things, or you can glue or tie several corks together and cut a strip for attaching cards. Such holders can serve as seating cards at a wedding or simply stand on your desk.

A warm and romantic atmosphere can be created with wine corks, two glass jars and a scented candle. Place the vessels one inside the other (the first should be 2-3 times smaller in diameter), fill the space between them with stoppers, insert a candle into the smaller vessel. Voila! The original candlestick is ready.

A plank and a few wine corks - this is the "recipe" for a convenient hanger. Anyone who knows how to handle a screwdriver can do it. Such a hanger will perfectly complement the interior of a summer house or a country house.

Looking at this graceful giraffe, which serves as an interior decoration, it seems as if several experienced engineers worked on it. In fact, it is done in an elementary way: the wire frame is pasted over with paper, and then wine corks are “planted” on it. The main thing is not to feel sorry for the glue, so that the design turns out not only beautiful, but also durable.

With the help of wine corks, you can make a convenient and beautiful panel - something like an "interactive whiteboard". You can attach shopping lists, phone numbers, notes for loved ones or photos to it. In this case, it is better to use small needles or pins, and not glue and adhesive tape - then the panel will serve you for many years.

What goes around comes around. But sometimes it is very difficult to remember what and where you have sown. In order not to get confused in the future harvest, use labels from wine corks. To do this, you need to drill a hole in the cork, insert a stick into it and write "Tomatoes", "Parsley", "Peppers", etc. Stick these tags in seedling containers, and you will always know where and what you are growing.

Wreath

These beautiful wreaths can be made using wine corks. The technology is quite simple: we make a frame and glue it with corks. At the same time, the type and “mood” of the wreath will depend on how you arrange them. These wreaths can decorate the house for the New Year and other holidays. You will find one of the master classes on making wreaths from wine corks

Canape skewers

Canape is a great holiday appetizer. Especially when you consider that you can not buy skewers for them, but make them from improvised materials. This will require wine corks (they need to be cut into circles), toothpicks and some kind of decor (ribbons, stickers, beads, etc. will do). Drill holes for toothpicks in the resulting wooden mugs, decorate them, and the original canapé skewers are ready.

By sawing the cork in half and gluing a magnetic strip to it, you will get an original fridge magnet. With it, you can attach photos, notes, shopping lists and other important little things.

To save furniture, we use special coasters for hot pots and plates. Of course, such a thing can be bought, but it is more interesting to make it yourself. Take a few dozen wine corks (the number depends on the diameter of the stand), a glue gun, a knife and a satin ribbon for decoration. Cut the corks in half (if this is not done, the stand will just turn out a little higher), sand the edges and glue the corks together in the form of a circle or octahedron. Run a ribbon along the edge or decorate with other decorative elements. The stand is ready.

bird house

These are such chic “apartments” that can be made for birds using wine corks. First you need to make a frame from thick cardboard, and then glue it with corks. It turns out a real cobbled teremok. This is a great idea for children's creativity, because the child will learn not only to "build", but also to take care of nature.

Earrings, pendants, necklaces, brooches and rings can all be made from ordinary wine corks. You just need to be a little creative and get the right accessories. Corks can be used whole (for example, for pendants), cut into circles or sawn in half (for earrings and necklaces). They can be decorated and decorated with beads. In a word, the flight of fancy is not limited.

Jewelry storage organizer

From wine corks, you can make not only jewelry, but also an organizer for storing them. Any girl knows how difficult it is to place jewelry so that it is not lost, visible and at hand. Dear ladies, take a picture frame of the right size and stick wine corks inside. Make several hooks to make it convenient to hang beads and bracelets. And earrings can be stuck between corks or directly into them (if the wood is soft enough).

There was a pompous blue-red table, but it became a stylish black-brown one. But its main highlight is the countertop. It is made of wine corks: the corks are “planted” on liquid nails and varnished on top. It may not be very practical, but it's definitely impressive. It is unlikely that any of your friends have such an original bar counter.

To keep your keys from getting lost, make a keychain out of wine corks. It's very simple. You need to buy accessories (sold in stores for goods for creativity) and dream up a little. You can leave the cork as it is, or you can decorate it: paint it, write your name or the “purpose” of the key (for example, “office”, “home”, “mailbox”), hang beads, etc. As a result, you will get an exclusive keychain that is unlikely to get lost.

miniature flower pots

If you think a wine cork is too small to grow plants in, you are wrong. From it you can make a very cute flower pot on a magnet. To do this, you need to take a wooden (necessarily not plastic) cork, gouge a small hole inside, fill it with earth and plant small sprouts there. After that, you can stick a magnet to the cork, and there will be a nice little “flower bed” on your refrigerator.

A Christmas tree, toys for it, Santa's reindeer, gift wrapping and much more can be made for the New Year with the help of wine corks. For example, to make the main symbol of the New Year holidays - a Christmas tree - you will need a base in the form of a cone, paper, glue and, of course, corks. Drape the cone with colored paper and stick corks on it - they will play the role of needles. Such a Christmas tree looks very nice, and may well replace a traditional (live or artificial) tree. Who doesn't love sailing boats? As children, we made them from newspapers, but the voyage of the paper ship was, alas, short-lived. Another thing is a vessel made of wine corks. Glue a couple of corks, attach a sail and you can go on a "sea" trip. Such a boat will delight your child and remind you of your own childhood.

Now it is fashionable to decorate houses with various decorative balls. They are made from paper, thread and other materials. Wine corks also work well for this task. To make a decorative ball out of them, you will need: the actual corks (a lot), a foam ball, a glue gun, brown acrylic paint and a brush. We paint the foam base and the “bottoms” of the corks, and then glue the ball over them. Such a decorative ball of wine corks looks great on a bookshelf, as it harmonizes with books. And if you want to hang it somewhere, do not forget to attach a ribbon.

Wine corks are most often made from wood. Therefore, a wine cork is a durable and reliable material from which you can make practical rugs for the bathroom and hallway. To do this, the corks need to be cut lengthwise and stick them on a rubberized base. You can also use the corks as a whole and glue them together vertically (it is better to use a metal frame as a base). The last option is more suitable for the front door.

If you drill a hole in several wine corks and insert ink paste into it, then you will get an unusual pen. So that it does not hang out and does not bend, the corks should be glued together. You will not only save on buying stationery, but also surprise your friends.

Many people remember such an attribute of Soviet life as “pendants” made of postcards and paper clips instead of doors. After the collapse of the USSR, filament curtains seemed to be a thing of the past. But fashion, as you know, develops in a spiral - a new round of popularity of filament curtains is coming. True, now they are more used for zoning rooms. One thing is invariable - you can make such a curtain with your own hands. For example, from wine corks. Looks very creative.

This lampshade, made of wine corks, will bring warmth and comfort to your home, and the light streaming through the cracks will create a special, somewhat mysterious atmosphere. But the main thing is that it will not be difficult to make it. You need to take a regular plastic cover and glue it with wine corks. Do not do it too tightly - the more gaps, the more light.

Everyone has heard of paper crafts. Probably everyone remembers how at school they taught how to make garlands from colored paper. But the task can be complicated and make an exclusive decoration that no one will have. For example, a Christmas tree made from wine corks. Such a beauty will help decorate the interior, and if desired, it can even be hung on a Christmas tree, it all depends on the size of the product.

We decided not to waste time on trifles and make the Christmas tree bigger, but since we don’t indulge in wine too often, we collected a few corks. Well, the problem was solved simply - the corks were cut in half. So we got the right amount of parts and were able to make a medium-sized Christmas tree. Try to make such a New Year's toy, in addition, the process is so simple that even a child can handle it.

Our Christmas tree consists of 21 elements (that is, it took 11 traffic jams). To create such a Christmas tree, we used:

stationery knife,
PVA glue,
fishing line,
beads and beads,
sequins,
2 screws
screwdriver,
push pin or pin.

First of all, we cut our corks in two, trying to make them as uniform and even as possible.

Now on a clean sheet of paper we make a strip of glue and lay out 4 elements on it, tightly in contact. So we get the bottom row for our Christmas tree.

The resulting lower row is abundantly poured with glue and above it we collect a row of 5 elements. In a similar way, over the second row, we make the third, consisting of four traffic jams, the next above it - from three, then from two, and finally, glue the top plug. Now we leave it all to freeze somewhere for a day. The glue must dry completely.

We will need two corks in order to make a Christmas tree leg. To do this, we screw a screw into the center of each cork, and all the way so that its part comes out on the other side of the cork. This free part then needs to be screwed into the structure of the Christmas tree.

When the design is assembled, we proceed to decorating. First of all, we take the leg. What does the tree usually stand on at home? On a stand or in a bucket. We recreate the illusion - we string larger beads on the fishing line and wrap the leg. At the end, the fishing line must be fixed, but do not cut it, now we will make a garland for the Christmas tree.

When the bottom is decorated, we continue to string beads onto the fishing line and thread it through the holes between the plugs, imitating a Christmas tree garland.

It is better not to use large beads, as they do not fit into the holes between the plugs. At the top of the Christmas tree we attach a pin or hairpin - then we will attach the end of the fishing line and a bow to it.

We made balls on the Christmas tree using sequins. To do this, the surface of some corks needs to be greased with glue and carefully, using a toothpick, lay out the sparkles. Do the same for the back side of the tree. Now we leave the product again for a while so that the glue dries.

When the glue dries, we finish decorating - we attach a hairpin or pushpin to the top cork, tie the end of the fishing line with beads to its leg and pin the bow. If you plan to hang the decoration on the Christmas tree, you can sew a loop to the bow.

It's so simple, beautiful and original. The wine cork Christmas tree is ready.

Helpful Hints

There are some things you shouldn't throw away, and wine corks are one of them.

For some crafts, just a few corks are enough, while others require a large number of them. Therefore, you can collect wine corks from acquaintances, friends, and even ask in bars and restaurants.

You will be surprised how many interesting crafts you can make from wine corks.

Here are some interesting things from traffic jams:

fridge magnets

You will need:

Round magnets (sold in multiples per pack)

Super glue or hot glue.

You will need:

Needles and threads

Ruler

Scissors.

1. Cut a few corks into rings. In this example, 8 circles were obtained from one cork.

You will need:

Corks (from wine and champagne)

Screwdriver.

* If you have an old chest of drawers, then you can simply replace the handles, and if it is relatively new, then you should only use cork handles if you do not like the handles that came with the chest of drawers.

1. Insert a new bolt through the bolt hole in the box from the inside, onto which you will screw the plug. It is advisable to mark the center of each plug in advance.

2. To make a new handle, start turning the bolt with a screwdriver, holding the plug on the other side. There is another way - you can hold the bolt with a screwdriver, and screw the plug onto the bolt with your other hand.

Crafts from corks from bottles of wine

Vase

In this example, 70 corks were used, but it all depends on the size of the vase.

You will need:

Vase (preferably in the form of a cube / parallelipiped)

Super glue or hot glue

Knife to cut corks (if necessary).

1. Start placing wine corks on one side of the vase to see how they look best and how much they cover that side. You may need to trim some corks.

2. Start gluing corks to the vase. Do not use too much glue - one drop per cork is enough. Cover one side with corks, wait for the glue to dry, and move on to the other side.

DIY cork crafts

DIY necklace

You will need:

Thread and needle for embroidery

Scissors

Thimble.

1. Choose the right cork for this craft. The image shows circles cut from four different corks - the most suitable option is number 3.

2. Cut the cork into several pieces 5 mm wide. If the width is smaller, the circle may break, and if it is larger, you may injure yourself.

3. Insert the thread into the needle and start embroidering on the circle. Don't go too close to the edge of the circle so you don't break it. Make stitches close together. Figure (pattern) choose yourself. After embroidering, hide the end of the thread at the back of the circle.

4. To connect several circles, you can glue a piece of felt to the back side, to which you can glue all the circles. In addition, you can glue the circles together.

If you don't want to use glue, you can simply sew the circles together.

Crafts from corks from wine and champagne

Chandelier

You will need:

Fan grille

60-100 corks

Screw with ring (60-100 pieces)

Thread of medium thickness

pipe clamp

1. Start screwing the screws into the plugs.

2. Determine how many corks will hang on the chandelier, and what will be the length of the threads. Based on this, start cutting the right amount of threads of a certain length.

3. Tie the threads to the rings of the screws, and tie the other end in the fan grille. Make sure that the desired length is maintained, and the chandelier looks symmetrical.

4. In this example, the lattice has three bases - internal, external and the one that goes around the circle. A fourth base was created in the form of a wire installed inside the lattice. You can skip this step if three bases are enough for you, or if you decide to tie the plugs differently.

5. To make it easier to hang the chandeliers, you can attach a pipe clamp to the top of the grille and wrap it with thread or twine.

Hello dear readers! Continuing the theme of unusual decorative elements, I would like to bring to your attention crafts made from wine corks.

But first, let's look at what this notorious wine cork is. Natural corks are made from the bark of the same name (cork) oak. Moreover, the bark from the tree in question is removed once every 10 years, the highest quality corks are those that were made from a 50-year-old oak.

The production of cork takes place in several stages: the bark is removed from the tree and stored in specially provided warehouses for a year. After that, the bark is processed under the influence of high temperatures, and cut into layers. The resulting layers are cut into strips, from which the corks themselves are then machined - cylindrical in shape. After that, the corks are polished, impregnated with wax and, by burning, put the name of the winemaking organization.

Types of traffic jams.

  1. Natural solid cork is a solid cylinder carved from cork oak bark.
  2. Pressed cork is made from cork chips and wood glue (the production process is based on pressing the necessary components).

Where to buy wine corks?

Let's get back to our main topic... if you are planning to create a decor from wine corks, then you will need a large number of these same corks. The best option, of course, is the methodical accumulation of traffic jams left over from various festive events, but since this process is still unnecessarily time-consuming, you can go the simpler way by ordering the material in question on the Internet (in online stores, the price ranges from 300 rubles per 100 corks).

What to do with wine corks.

Well, we figured out this issue, perhaps, we will begin to consider products from wine corks.

1. Cork vases.

Small vases for one small flower look great, such vases can simply be placed on the table, but as for me, they look the most advantageous when mounted on the wall.

The following variants of decorative vases are based on the painstaking gluing of wine corks. Such vases look incredibly stylish, and definitely emphasize any interior design.

2. Decorative "bucket" for bottles.

Such a product, tied with an elegant white ribbon and complemented by large rhinestones, can serve as the centerpiece of a festive table.

3. Products from wine corks: Christmas wreath.

In Russia, festive New Year and Christmas wreaths are not yet very popular, but interest in them is clearly felt, so why not make a wreath yourself using such waste material as wine corks.

4. Decorative figures from traffic jams.

A cork heart looks really unusual, just imagine how great it will look in home decor for Valentine's Day.

The cork ball cannot be ignored either, I think it may well act as an independent decorative element, in fact, it can be fixed on the ceiling in any room.

5. Crafts from wine corks: toys or figurines.

The cork giraffe looks the most creative, although, in principle, the rest of the figures are perceived extremely positively. If you still have toy parts (legs, ears, handles), then you can easily create such beauty in a split second!

6. Cork pencil case.

To make such a pencil holder, you will need glue, corks and a tin can. Corks should be fixed on the surface of the jar in the form of hedgehog needles. By the way, each cork can be cut in half, so the “needles” will be the most optimal length.

7. Cork basket.

The use of wine corks requires a creative approach, just look how great this cork basket looks, which can be used as a candy or bread box.

8. Cork chair.

Wine corks in the interior can appear not only in compact products, but also in more global ones, such as armchairs. Interesting idea, right?!

9. Kitchen "apron" from wine corks.

Wine corks can be used to decorate a kitchen apron, but since they will be difficult to clean if dirty, care should be taken to protect them. To do this, place wine corks behind a transparent glass screen.

10. Table lamp.

Such an unusual lamp will become the main decoration of any interior. Its subdued glow will certainly create a cozy and unique atmosphere.

11. Cork chandelier.

The base of the chandelier is made from the front part of a floor fan, the top row of corks is fixed on metal rings, the subsequent rows are on rope segments. By the way, we have already considered the options for using ropes, you can read the review.

12. Floor cork mats.

An excellent solution is the use of corks to create floor mats, they are not afraid of moisture and look nice!

13. Wall panels.

Corks can be placed in frames or create a frameless product. It looks equally stylish, both round panels and square ones. Such crafts from wine corks will wonderfully fit into the interior of a bedroom or living room.

14. Printing from a wine cork.

If you need to create small identical drawings, and drawing images by hand is too painstaking, try cutting out the necessary figure on the base of the cork. After preparation, the resulting print is dipped into the paint and left on the selected surface, the required number of prints.

15. Decorations for the New Year.

Such pendants will perfectly decorate the Christmas tree. And the pendant in the first photo can be used as a wrist bracelet.

16. Cork tray.

A very good solution for making corks - a tray. Moreover, it seems to me that this is the best solution for using corks, wood and glass look so harmonious, framing such a simple waste material as a wine cork.

17. A product made of cork - a candlestick.

Such a candlestick can be made in a matter of seconds, and how well it will fit into the interior of a house or apartment. To make it, you will need corks, a gel candle, a large glass or a vase. We pour corks into the vase, place a glass with a gel candle, and fill the side spaces with corks.

18. Hot stand.

Such a stand is already a kind of classic, pay attention to how expensive the model looks framed with a wooden frame. In addition, I can not ignore the product, pulled together with a metal cord (collar), simply, quickly and beautifully!
19. Stand for a glass.

Such beautiful, harmonious coasters will definitely please your friends, and they will not forget to put the glass in a specially provided place.

20. Cork birdhouses.

Cork bird houses look really great, the overall thoughtfulness of the image is really impressive. The model in the first photo is especially admired, sometimes you even forget that this is a birdhouse, and not a real village hut!

I have always liked the ideas of what can be made from objects, things, materials that, it would seem, have a direct path to a landfill. This is how to cook “porridge from an ax”, when out of nothing you get original crafts made by yourself, which you can’t buy in any store. For example, corks from wine and champagne - how many of you collect them?

And by the way, thanks to the imagination and ingenuity of hand makers, you can make so many interesting things out of them that perhaps you can’t fit in one article.

The main symbol of the New Year is, of course, the Christmas tree. Here is such a decor in the form of Christmas trees can be made from corks, in my opinion it's pretty. As you can see, corks can be decorated with sparkles, beads and other tinsel, or simply decorated with paints or a felt-tip pen.

And here are the snowmen - another constant attribute of the New Year:

Since I crochet, I really liked these funny little men:
