Let the glue dry for several hours. An aluminum strip around the stand will better hold the structure together. 
Next, cut out a ribbon about 2 cm wide from aluminum foil. Its length should be approximately 1.5 times the circumference of the stand (about 90-100 cm).
Turn the cork piece over so that the cuts are facing down. To glue the aluminum tape, you can use double-sided tape. The bottom edge of the tape should be glued flush with the bottom edge of the plugs. 
After attaching the foil to one cork, use the edge of a pair of scissors to tuck the tape into the groove between the corks. Then attach it to the next one and continue this process around. Overlap the ends slightly and then cut off the excess tape.
